After spending more than 20 years working on various change programs and projects, locally and overseas; I have decided to write a book on my project experiences. Most of the books available in the market were focused on technical areas such as engineering, construction and software development but not many dare to write or publish books for areas involving services. Again I could be wrong.
Many of us out there thought that by attending just one semester on project management during our degree program make us understand or know project management. Believe you me, that the world of project realities is never as what you and I have learned in the classroom.
We can consider ourselves lucky if we were to be assigned to start or initiate a fresh new program/project. But most often than not, we were assigned either mid-way or to clean up a mess (project) that was created by somebody else; and this were not frequently emphasize in school.
I have drafted my manuscript for my book and although it is still in the draft state, I'm looking, thinking and brainstorming like crazy for a suitable book title.
